Kat Lin Hurtubise
Founder & CEO
Kat Lin Hurtubise has over twenty years of experience in the event planning, hospitality, and staffing industries.
Aloha Hospitality Professionals was established to elevate Hawaii’s staffing industry and deliver excellence through service to others. She is a three-time winner of the Pacific Business News (PBN) Women Who Mean Business and has presented at speaking engagements across the nation. Lin Hurtubise founded NxtGen Staffing with the goal to deploy exceptional staff nationwide to companies needing hospitality, administration and light industrial support.
She resides in both Honolulu, Hawaii and Mill Valley, California with her husband and two sons. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys hiking and biking with her family.
Steve Scher
Chief Operating Officer
Steve Scher is a successful entrepreneur, serving as CEO and owner of Acrobat Outsourcing for 14 years before joining Aloha Hospitality Professionals and NxtGen Staffing as the Chief Operating Officer. Specializing in hospitality, food service, convention, and related industries, Acrobat Outsourcing boasts 18 offices nationwide and an impressive customer list including Apple, Google, DropBox, Fairmont and Hyatt, among many others.
During his years of leadership, Scher mastered a proprietary approach that delivers the best ROI in terms of efficiency, loyal employees, unified culture, and long-term profitability. Scher holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and an Associate of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
He currently resides in Hillsborough, California with his wife and their five children. An avid sports fan, Scher enjoys coaching his children’s various sports teams.
Erica Scott
General Manager
As the General Manager of Aloha Hospitality Professionals, Erica combines her formal leadership education, passion, and creative thinking with a results-oriented mindset. Embedding corporate strategy on a local level, Erica created and launched AlohaHP’s first community-based partnership program, called “HandUp!”.
Erica is also responsible for overseeing daily workflow and external company relationships. Erica calls upon her transformational leadership style to inspire her team and maintain a company culture with what she sees as essential—psychological safety, opportunities for professional growth, and autonomy with accountability.
